ÜMRANİYE SPOR KULÜBÜ
ÜMRANIYESPOR FOOTBALL CLUB
Founded in 1938, Ümraniyespor competed in the Third League for seven seasons during the 1990s before being relegated to the amateur division in 2000. The club finished the 2009–10 season as champions of the Super Amateur League and went on to top its group in the 2010–11 Regional Amateur League, earning promotion to the Spor Toto 3rd League.
In the 2012–13 Turkish Cup, Ümraniyespor defeated Anadolu Üsküdar 2–0, setting up a match against Kayseri Erciyesspor. After a 1–1 draw in regular time, Ümraniyespor conceded a goal in extra time and lost 2–1. Finishing the 2012–13 season in 5th place, the team was defeated 5–0 by Çanakkale Dardanel in the Play-Off Final.
In the 2013–14 season, under the management of Ergun Ortakçı, Ümraniyespor secured the championship by defeating Yeşil Bursa 2–1 at home in week 30 — four weeks before the end of the season — and earned the right to play in the Second League for the first time in its history.
In its first season in the Second League, Ümraniyespor qualified for the Play-Offs but was eliminated by 1461 Trabzon.
In the following season, with a 3–0 away victory against İstanbulspor in week 32, Ümraniyespor guaranteed the championship two weeks before the end of the league and was promoted to the First League for the first time in its history.
At the end of the 2021–22 season, after defeating Balıkesirspor 4–1 with three weeks remaining, Ümraniyespor earned promotion to the Süper Lig for the first time in its history.
However, in the 2022–23 season, following a 2–1 home defeat to MKE Ankaragücü in week 35, the club was relegated back to the First League after one season in the Süper Lig.
